Jesus

Very God, Very Man - The Second Person of the Godhead
”I and the Father are one.” John 10:22

The Series: Looking Unto Jesus, The Author and Finisher of Our Faith; Subtitled: The Soul’s Looking Unto Jesus As He Carries Out The Great Work of Man’s Salvation. I brought 8 of the 9 books up to modern English and am working on the 9th. Each is between 40 and 100 pages. It is a beautiful and thorough work concerning Jesus’ missions here on Earth and in Heaven. I urge you to read them. There’s a part of me that wants to summarize them into a single, shorter work, but there is another part of me that tells me that if I do that, a lot of the beauty of the work will be lost. John 20:30-31 “So then, many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that by believing you may have life in His name.”

John, in his epistle, used 7 “I am …” statements, 7 dissertations, and 7 Miracles to prove that Christ was the Son of God - God Himself. This short book tells you about the miracles. It’s only 99 cents on Kindle. Click on the image to get and read it.

The Proof is in the Differences - And what are those differences that Jesus brought to us that no other religious leader has ever brought? The first is miracles and some of those miracles were only God-miracles - healing of the blind since birth, healing of leprosy which was supposed to be God’s curse on a person. He also fulfilled about 300 prophesies about himself - where he would be born, how he would die, his being in the line of David, the time predicted which brought the Wisemen within 1 or 2 years of it - just fulfilling 8 of those prophesies has a statistical probability that makes the mind bogle. And many more differences that show that Jesus was exactly who He said He was, and is. As you read this He sits at the righthand of God making intercession for you and will until He comes back. In my daily reading, I love when I come to these verses - Proverbs 8:22-31 - The chapter begins speaking of wisdom, then morphs into these passages. Here to Lord Jesus is identified as wisdom, and those wonderful days working with His Father during the creation experience are set before us. Since I never had what I would call a loving father, these passage warm my heart when I see what a real Father/Son relationship is and what it can accomplish together.

22 “The Lord created me at the beginning of His way,
Before His works of old.
23 From eternity I was established,
From the beginning, from the earliest times of the earth.
24 When there were no ocean depths, I was born,
When there were no springs abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled,
Before the hills, I was born;
26 While He had not yet made the earth and the fields,
Nor the first dust of the world.
27 When He established the heavens, I was there;
When He inscribed a circle on the face of the deep,
28 When He made firm the skies above,
When the springs of the deep became fixed,
29 When He set a boundary for the sea
So that the water would not violate His command,
When He marked out the foundations of the earth;
30 Then I was beside Him, as a master workman;
And I was His delight daily,
Rejoicing always before Him,
31 Rejoicing in the world, His earth,
And having my delight in the sons of mankind.

Proverbs 8:22-31

Romans 10:9 - because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Matthew 16:15-17 - 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
